
Kiehl’s skin products turned 160 years old this week. To celebrate, they launched several limited edition products with throwback product packaging. No birthday is complete without a party. Wednesday night, Kiehl’s hosted an event at New York City’s “The Penny Farthing” located across the street from the Kiehl’s original 3rd avenue location. Several celebrities were on hand, including Pharrell, representing the environmental charities that Kiehl’s supports including the “Recycle and Be Rewarded” program. Kiehl’s Since 1851 marks its 160th anniversary in 2011 with a number of heritage projects, including the brand-new installation of an interactive 160th Anniversary Retrospective in the Kiehl’s New York Flagship Store at 109 Third Ave., New York; the June 15 launch of “Kiehl’s Gives,” a digital philanthropic initiative to support children’s, environmental and HIV/AIDS charities, in partnership with Julianne Moore, Pharrell Williams and the Scissor Sisters; and later this fall, the introduction of a Limited Edition New York Heritage Collection.
