Lil Wayne Says His Sweat Used to Taste like Weed

Yeah it’s a big difference. I almost jumped in the crowd, “said a relaxed Wayne to our own Sway. “I’m like I’m sober, I’m sweating. I’m tasting my sweat. My sweat taste different. My sweat used to taste like weed. But now it’s just, I’m like I don’t know what it is.” Weezy went on to add, “I’m out there, my eyes big, my eyes all wide. I had threw my glasses, I don’t even need these. I could see everything right now. But yeah man, it’s a great feeling.”
Above, you can watch Lil Wayne perform his new verse that he freestyled with MAYDAY! last year, and talk about his new sober outlook on life with MTV.

Jay-Z's Unauthorized NCAA Locker Room Visit Costs, NJ Nets Fined $50K

The New Jersey Nets have been fined $50,000 for Nets minority owner Jay-Z's presence in the Kentucky locker room after the Wildcats clinched a Final Four berth.

League spokesman Tim Frank confirmed the fine Friday before the Nets played the New York Knicks at the Prudential Center.

NBA rules prohibit team personnel from having contact with players who are not yet draft eligible.

The NBA's investigation, first reported by CBSSports.com, was triggered by a video showing Jay-Z visiting with various Kentucky players in their locker room at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., after the Wildcats' quarterfinal victory over North Carolina.

Though the circumstances of the visit seemed harmless enough, with Kentucky players clearly more excited about meeting a world-famous rap mogul as opposed to a part-time NBA team executive, Nets officials were expecting a fine based on what happened to Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge in 2007.

Boston was fined $30,000 that year for "excessive contact with the family" after Ainge was spotted sitting next to Kevin Durant's mother at the Big 12 tournament.

Grammy Awards Cut Hip-Hop & RnB Categories for 2012 {SMMFH}

Though music industry vet Steve Stoute and Recording Academy president Neil Portnow vowed to work together to increase diversity at the Grammy awards -- as a result of Stoute's claim that the awards were "losing touch," it looks hip-hop and R&B artists are losing again.

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences made more than 30 modifications to the awards on Wednesday, April 7, a move which Stoute has referred to as "a step in the right direction, but still a Band-Aid on the problem."

On the contrary, the newly restructured Grammys will be cutting down the amount of hip-hop and R&B awards, eliminating gender distinctions in the R&B categories and merging Best Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Performance for a Duo or Group into one category.

By consolidating the male and female R&B awards, they have cut the number of R&B awards presented by half, ensuring that, despite Stoute's claims, hip-hop and R&B artists will be walking away with even fewer awards next year.

Meanwhile, the classical and American roots music genres have had an equal amount of categories trimmed without the support of a former industry heavyweight, losing four awards in each division.

At the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards earlier this year, Jay-Z won for Best Rap Performance for a Duo or Group for his work alongside Swizz Beatz on the track 'On to the Next One.' Eminem won Best Rap Solo Performance for 'Not Afraid,' a song off his Best Rap Album win, 'Recovery.' According to the recent change in awards categories, only one of the two would have walked away with a golden award under the new revisions had the new categories been put into effect this year.

{So....Lil Wayne will b the last nigga to win ah grammy lik shit..thas terrible
I wonder what the fuck is going to happen next..
I say we just ditch the grammys this year
 no black people perform,
 give out and award,
host, no nothin
4real, niggas shouldnt even go.!!}

50 Cent Gives His Take On Mr. Cee Arrest

50 Cent Gives His Take On Mr. Cee Arrest

Fif speaks on Mr. Cee in an interview with Hot 97.
The Hip Hop community has had a wide range of reactions to the controversial arrest of Hot 97's Mr. Cee.
Rap heavyweight 50 Cent weighed in with Miss Info on the public lewdness sex arrest on Hot 97, explaining his relationship with the deejay and record producer.
"It's only entertaining because he means that much to Hip Hop culture and his association to it," explained 50 to Miss Info. "I recognize Mr. Cee as the guy who offered us Biggie. So he means that much to the culture. A lot of the kids who hear the radio don't hear him the same way. I've played my albums for Mr. Cee. Every album before it came out to see what he thought. When this type of stuff happens, you keep pushing."
"When I said, 'take the Tiger Woods route,' means...say 'I retire.' Why? Why go that route? ...I would've played the next tour! They can say what they want about it, how about if you say, 'I'm Rick James, bitch.' [laughs] How about if you say. 'I don't care?' Who is to judge you other when there is an audience that's probably one of the strongest audiences if you look at Lady Gaga's career that says that that's fine. If you say it's not fine, then you're gonna get attacked. You're gonna write apology notes."
Miss Info has declined to personally address the matter.

After a week of speculation, TheSmokingGun.com provides material proof of Mr. Cee's arrest for indecent exposure.
Over the weekend, various news outlets reported New York police caught influential Hip Hop deejay and Hot 97 radio personality, Mr. Cee receiving fellatio from a 20-year-old male. The allegations were largely ignored, or in some cases refuted—as was the case with Mr. Cee’s peer, Funkmaster Flex. Wednesday, TheSmokingGun.com furnished the original police report, which names Mr. Cee—real name Calvin Lebrun—as a defendant.

“On March 30, 2011 at about 03:55 hours on the corner of Watts Street and West Street in the County and State of New York, the defendants intentionally exposed the private parts of his body in a lewd manner and committed a lewd act in a public place and in provate premises...” the report read.

Authorities added that Lebrun was found exposed and naked receiving oral sex from the co-defendant, Lawrence Campbell. Both men were charged with a Class A Misdemeanor. In New York State, the maximum penalty for a Class A Misdemeanor is one year in jail. Mr. Cee has remained on the air since the allegations broke, although he has not publicly addressed them. In addition to his work at Hot 97, Mr. Cee worked with Notorious B.I.G. and extensively as Big Daddy Kane’s deejay. TheSmokingGun broke similar stories about Akon’s criminal past and Rick Ross’ background as a correctional officer.

Videos: Lil Wayne Talks Nicki Minaj’s Success & Gets Another Lap Dance From Nicki

“I really didn’t get on my knees to give praise, but then I remembered we had a crowd out there,” Wayne playfully told Mixtape Daily. “I got on my knees to do something totally different, but I was like, we got a crowd out there, so let me just give praise.”
“I promise to God, you know what I thought about? When I saw her up there just walking and everybody singing her stuff and she making all those facial expressions, I was just like, I remember watching that DVD,” Wayne said. “When shorty was in the tub. I remember watching that and where she came from and just to know that not that I did that, that she did that. I mean, it’s a beautiful thing.”
In the video above, Lil Wayne talks to MTV about Nicki Minaj‘s success and calls it “a beautiful thing”. After the jump, you can watch Weezy get his second lap dance from Nicki on the “I Am Still Music” tour, which took place last night (April 5) in Sunrise, Florida.

Every year the Nike LeBron signature shoe is released in a number of colorways, a plentiful amount that will satiate the appetite of any serious Nike LeBron collector. Sneaker News showed you both the Home and Away version, but these beauties deserve another look; the ‘Home’ version features white leather uppers with blue Flywire/carbon fiber panels, while the ‘Away’ utilizes a gorgeous green suede, matching the aptly colored Flywire panels. With zero plans of a release, the SVSM LeBron 8 V1 PEs should fetch a high dollar if one of the pairs that made its way out of the Nike headquarters happens to go up for sale. A release would be nice, no? Check out this new detailed gallery below and let me know which of the two you like better. via dsicle.

Supra Henry Black Full Grain

The above pictured boot from Supra’s new top-tier Royal Collection may as well be called the ‘John Henry’ cos they’re rugged enough to be worn by a “steel drivin’ man”.  But we’re fine with the shorter name, cos no matter what you call it, the Supra Henry is one of the dopest boots to emanate from a sneaker brand in recent memory.  These joints manage that perfect balance between lifestyle look and rugged workwear appeal, this newest release crafted in rich black full grain leather with white accent stitches to match the deceptively comfy soles.  Click through to get a better look and grab yours before they’re gone from Factory 413, but be advised they’re only taking phone orders on this limited release.
