Amber Rose Covers Vibe Magazine; Still Loves Kanye..

@DaRealAmberRose splits the cover duties with @RickyRozay. Wiz’s new lover is front and center on the alternate version of VIBE’s new issue, which hit stands in June.
AMBER ON LIFE POST-KANYE:
“What am I supposed to do? Crawl up in a corner and die ‘cause I’m not with Kanye anymore? Am I supposed to go back to the strip club and not take these opportunities that I have?”

AMBER OF HER RELATIONSHIP WITH REGGIE BUSH:
“Me and Reggie [Bush] dated very briefly after Kanye…We were both each other’s rebound and we both knew that and were cool with that.”

AMBER ON WHY HER STORY IS RELATABLE:
“I don’t have rich parents and it’s a struggle. I can’t just call my dad and be like, ‘Dad, my money is a little messed up. Can you buy me a car or a house? It’s not like that for me. I feel like more people will relate to my story than the Kardashians or the Hiltons.”

AMBER ON BEING ICONIC:
“Kanye would always tell be how beautiful I was and that I was going to be iconic. He always said that, ‘Baby, you are iconic. You don’t understand what you have. I didn’t. I didn’t understand it.”
 She opens up to Vibe in the newest issue, and goes on record that she still loves Yeezy, but she isn’t IN love with him. Read it and weep on June 6th.
“People think me and Kanye are enemies, and we are not enemies. He wants the best for me, still. Let me say this: I still love Kanye. I will always love him as a person. I will always love him for what he’s done for me. I still always have that soft spot in my heart for him. I am not in love with him. I do not look at him in a sexual way anymore. I’m in love with someone else. I still love him as a person and want him to find happiness like I did.
Everyone deserves that.”

{I fuckin told yall...did smh..Damn, i would pay ta see the expression on Wiz face when he see this joint all on twitter, hear about on the radio, see it...matta fact, he prolly already heard about it...damn..lls}

Air Jordan XI IE Low Bred New Photos

There’s a new-for-2011 ‘Concord’ lookalike slated to release in July, but what about the original Air Jordan XI IE colorways?  It looks like that white/black edition has taken the place of the white/Light Grey version, leaving this black, white and Varsity Red colorway as the lone OG look from this fifteen year-old lowtop.  They’ve got that classic Chicago Bulls appeal and even feature a smokey translucent outsole to prevent the yellowing of previous retros, but in a summer jam-packed with high-profile Air Jordan Retro releases, will the AJXI IE manage to secure ‘sleeper’ status? July 2011 release.  via Taobao

Lil Waynes Tha Carter IV Album Pushed Back
Universal just set a new release date for Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter IV album, which is now August 29th, and not June 21st. I think we all knew that this was going to happen, because we had no tracklist or real promotion for the album with less than 20 days til it was supposed to be released. Anyways, this should give Tunechi enough time to get the “How To Love” music video out and start promoting the album more!
{Here we go again man..wtf Tunechii?}

Rihanna - Man Down {Defends video, says victims need a voice}

NEW YORK – Rihanna is defending her latest music video, which opens with a man being shot in the head.
"Man Down," which premiered Tuesday on BET, is a song about a girl who shoots her abuser in public. The video also portrays sexual assault.
On Wednesday, the Parents Television Council called the clip "disturbing" and asked BET to stop airing it.
But on Thursday's "106 & Park," BET's music video countdown show, Rihanna said the video is "art with a message."
"We just wanted to hone in on a very serious matter that people are afraid to address, especially if you've been victimized in this scenario," Rihanna said.
BET says it will continue to play the video, explaining that the network "has a comprehensive set of standards and guidelines that are applied to all of our content" and that Rihanna's video "complied with these guidelines and was approved for air."
MTV and VH1 have not played the video. Representatives for both networks said they are currently reviewing the video.
BET, MTV and VH1 are owned by Viacom.
Rihanna, who was attacked by then-boyfriend Chris Brown in February 2009, says she doesn't agree with violence.
Brown attacked Rihanna on the eve of the Grammys. He pleaded guilty to a felony and was sentenced to five years' probation.
"I've been abused in the past and you don't see me running around killing people in my spare time," she said.
But the 23-year-old says rape happens too often and those victims need a voice.
"If I can be a voice for so many that aren't heard, then I win twice," she said.
The "Man Down" clip was directed by Anthony Mandler, who has directed other Rihanna videos.
The Grammy winner says she didn't intend to make a controversial music video. She was hoping to display her acting skills and create "something raw and artistic."
The video for "Man Down" has not yet appeared on iTunes. A rep for iTunes said that decision is up to the label.
An email seeking comment from Rihanna's record label went unreturned Thursday.

Top 5 Android Apps of the Week – May 27, 2011

It seemed to be a slow release for games this week, but there were still some good ones thrown into the market. We did get a great new game in the form of Robotek, but got nothing new from Gameloft, and still no Plants vs Zombies yet. If PopCap sticks to their word, I can already tell you what next week’s numero uno will be! Anywho, here are our Top 10 Android Apps of the week…

1. Robotek

Robotek is still a new comer in the Android market, but it seems to be gaining steam quickly. It’s got some killer retro graphics, and the gameplay aint’ bad either. Robotek has a unique battle system that’s pretty much a slot machine that you’ll spin to see what kind of attack you’ll get. There is strategy involved as well though, as you can attack, hack or call in support bots. The graphics alone had me sold on this game, but the interesting gameplay makes it a game I’ll be keeping on my phone for awhile. If you need some more info, you can read our full review or you can go ahead and grab Robotek in the Android Market for free.

2. The Night Flier

The Night Flier originally caught my eye as its name is the same as one of my favorite Stephen King short stories. I was pumped and thought, “Wow a great Vampire game!!” Well, it’s not what I thought, but it is fun and there is a bat involved. In Night Flier you are a small bat soaring through the night skies and you’ll have to avoid cats, planes, and all sorts of things as you try to make it to the next level. There are 10 levels, and a few surprises thrown in for good measure as well. I really liked the cartoonish graphics with this one, and the gameplay was quick and fun. Night Flier is available in the market for .99 cents.

The BBC finally released their news app into the market this week, and it’s pretty slick. The app has videos, news, and you can even personalize the homescreen by adding and removing categories to your liking. The part I liked the best was the Live streaming of the BBC news channel, anyone can enjoy that provided that you’re running Android 2.2 and have Flash. If you’d like keep up to date on your worldly news, you can grab the BBC News App in the market for free.

4. Cloudy

Cloudy is a clever puzzler from developer DroidHen. It combines puzzles, math and action all in one game… and there’s a paper plane involved as well. Your goal is to guide your paper plane to its destination by finding the proper route, avoiding clouds and collecting stars along the way. There are 50 levels available and best of all it’s free!

One of the most popular Widget packs put out a lite version this week, and it’s great! The popular Beautiful Widgets Lite set includes clock & weather widgets, weather condition/forecast, moon phases, and weather animations along with a few other goodies. The full version give you all that and toggle widgets, battery widgets, beautiful home widgets and around 500 different skins for those cool looking widgets.

U.S. raises Google hack allegation with China {News Specail}

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States has asked Beijing to investigate Google's latest allegation of a major hacking attack that the Internet giant says originated in China, the State Department said on Friday.
"We did raise our concerns with the Chinese about the allegations and asked them to take a look into them," State Department spokesman Mark Toner told reporters.
Toner declined to provide details on what was conveyed to the Chinese, or whether the U.S. government believes Beijing may have had a hand in the alleged hacking attack.
He said investigations of the case prevent him from saying more about Google's allegations.
"We take them seriously and expressed that concern to the Chinese," Toner said.
Google said this week it had detected and disrupted a campaign aimed at stealing passwords of hundreds of Google email account holders including senior U.S. government officials, Chinese activists, and journalists.
Toner repeated that the State Department had no evidence its employees had been targeted in the case, which the Federal Bureau of Investigation is examining along with Google.
Neither Google nor the U.S. government has said that China was behind the attacks, which the Internet company merely said appeared to originate in China.
But the incident looks likely to fuel tensions between the United States and China over cybersecurity and espionage, areas that are considered potential flashpoints.
China, for its part, has denied any role and called Google's allegations unacceptable.
Beijing, often blamed for cyber attacks that have a murky provenance, says it is being unfairly accused by countries that are simply unhappy with China's swift economic, military and geopolitical rise.

John Edwards Charged in Felony Indictment {News Special}

john_edwards.jpg
RALEIGH, N.C. – A federal grand jury charged two-time presidential candidate John Edwards on Friday with soliciting and covering up the secret spending of more than $925,000 to hide his mistress and their baby during the peak of his 2008 campaign for the White House.
The grand jury's indictment in the case of USA v. Johnny Reid Edwards contained six felony counts, including conspiracy, four counts of receiving illegal campaign contributions and one count of false statements for keeping the spending off his public campaign finance reports.
The indictment said the payments were a scheme to protect Edwards' White House ambitions. "A centerpiece of Edwards' candidacy was his public image as a devoted family man," the indictment said.
"Edwards knew that public revelation of the affair and the pregnancy would destroy his candidacy," the indictment added.
The indictment and an arrest warrant were filed in Greensboro, N.C., which is in the district where his campaign was headquartered. Edwards, 57, was scheduled to make an initial appearance Friday afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Patrick Auld in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Edwards attorney Gregory Craig issued a brief statement in advance of the hearing. "John Edwards will tell the court he is innocent of all charges, and will plead not guilty. He did not break the law and will mount a vigorous defense," Craig said.
Negotiations between Edwards' attorneys and federal prosecutors to settle on a charge to which Edwards was willing to plead guilty continued through Thursday, but proved fruitless, according to people with knowledge of the negotiations. Prosecutors had insisted on a plea to a felony, which would endanger his ability to keep his license to practice law.
If convicted, Edwards faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each of the six counts. First time white collar offenders usually don't receive prison terms in federal court, but the Justice Department typically presses for at least a short prison sentence for public officials. While Edwards was a private citizen as a candidate, he was receiving taxpayer money for his presidential campaign.
Edwards' attorneys issued statements from campaign finance experts who argued the payments were not campaign contributions. One, former Federal Elections Commission Chairman Scott Thomas, said if the FEC had investigated it would have found the payments did not violate the law, even as a civil matter.
"A criminal prosecution of a candidate on these facts would be outside anything I would expect after decades of experience with the campaign finance laws," Thomas said.
In recent days, his legal team also argued that the secret spending was designed to hide the affair from his wife, Elizabeth, who died of cancer in December.
Prosecutors said the spending was illegal because Edwards should have reported it on public campaign finance filings and because it exceed the $2,300 limit per person for campaign contributions.
The indictment was the culmination of a federal investigation begun by the FBI more than two years ago. The probe scoured virtually every corner of Edwards' political career. That included his political action committees, a nonprofit and a so-called 527 independent political group. It even examined whether he did anything improper during his time in the U.S. Senate, which ended seven years ago.
But the centerpiece of the investigation has long been the hundreds of thousands of dollars privately provided by two wealthy Edwards supporters — his former campaign finance chairman Fred Baron and Rachel "Bunny" Mellon, the 100-year-old widow of banking heir Paul Mellon. That money eventually went to keep mistress Rielle Hunter and her out-of-wedlock baby in hiding in 2007 and 2008, during the apex of the Democratic nomination campaign.
The indictment cited $725,000 in payments made by Mellon and another $200,000 made by Baron. It said the money was used to pay for Hunter's living and medical expenses and for chartered airfare, luxury hotels and nearly $60,000 in rent for a house in Santa Barbara, Calif., to keep her hidden from the public. Other than Edwards, no one was named in the indictment but the indictment's descriptions of others make clear who they are.
Mellon sent her money through her decorator. The indictment said she listed items of furniture in the memo lines of checks — written in amounts of $10,000-$200,000 for "chairs," "antique Charleston table," and "book case" — to hide the true purpose. It said Baron gave an envelope with about $1,000 cash and a note that said, "Old Chinese saying: use cash, not credit cards!"
