Cam'ron Reveals He Wrote Lil' Cease's Verse On "Crush On You"

Cam'ron Reveals He Wrote Lil' Cease's Verse On

Killa airs out details about one of his early ghostwriting exploits.
Dipset head honcho Cam'ron recently revealed that he was responsible for writing one of Lil' Cease's most well-known verses.
In an interview with Hot 97's DJ Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg on their Juan Epstein podcast, Cam revealed that he wrote Cease's rhymes on Lil' Kim's 1996 track "Crush on You."
“What happened was, [Untertainment CEO Lance] Un [Rivera] gave Mase $30,000 to write five songs for Lil’ Cease at that time and Mase gave me $5,000 of the 30 to write one or two of the songs,” explained Killa. “I wrote the ‘Crush on You’ song and they ended up keeping it for Lil’ Kim album but it was really for Lil’ Cease. The original ‘Crush on You’ is all Lil’ Cease, Lil’ Kim isn’t even on the record.”
Unfortunately for Cam, he did not received any residuals from the track, which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music charts in 1997.

Beyonce' Sued For $100 Million By Video Game Makers

Beyonce Sued For $100 Million By Video Game Makers

The game developers claim the pop superstar bailed on a proposed dance video game.
In an exclusive story, New York Magazine’s Vulture.com is reporting that video game production company Gate Five has filed a lawsuit against Beyonce for breach of contract. The developers are seeking an award in excess of $100 million dollars. Gate Five say they entered into a deal to create a “motion-sensing dance video game” with the pop singer entitled Staypower: Beyonce.
Vulture quotes Gate Five’s summons as accusing Beyonce of “a bad faith breach of contract so callous that, on what appeared to be a whim, she destroyed Gate Five's business and drove 70 people into unemployment, the week before Christmas.” The company refers to Beyonce as Ms. Carter throughout the document, referring to the singer’s marriage to Hip Hop titan Jay-Z, whose birth name is Sean Carter.
The suit also describes Beyonce as “too erratic to do business with.” Requests for comment by Vulture to Beyonce’s management have not been met. To read the full story, including further allegations from the summons, head over to Vulture.com.

Wale Talks about ending Beef with Kid Cudi

Wale Talks Ending Beef with Kid Cudi, Maybach Music

The D.C. emcee explains how he and Kid Cudi squashed their differences and how he fits in with Rick Ross.
Complex recently caught up with Wale to discuss his upcoming album with Rick Ross, Meek Mills and Pill, Self Made. During the interview, the D.C. emcee discussed how he fits into the Maybach Music scheme and how it's affected his music. He said that the move to Rozay's imprint hasn't change anything about the content of his lyrics, but that it's allowed him to branch out musically.
"I’m the deep-thinking, spend too much money on sneakers, member of Maybach Music," he explained. "I’m not out there trying to do what Pill’s doing or Rozay’s doing. I am the deep-thinking, overly analytical–maybe sometimes emotional—but it’s that same emotional as ‘Pac for me. What they call emotional now, they call it whining...I can’t give you the sound you want to hear because it’s the sound I want to make. If I want to talk about the fucking sex trade on a fucking Lex Luger beat that sounds 'B.M.F.'-esque then let me do that! That’s what I want to do. Just because I’m making a deep song about deep shit, it doesn’t mean I have to go be deep sounding."
Wale also discussed how he and fellow XXL Freshman Kid Cudi squashed their feud from last year. He explained that Cudi called him one day and they worked out their issues respectfully. He also revealed that he has since worked with the G.O.O.D. Music rapper on a song for his album.
"Cudi just called me," he explained. "He was like, 'Man, I fucks with you man, you know?' We just had a real brother conversation. It was a long conversation but a lot of things needed to be said. Some of the things that he said hurt and I’m sure some of the things I’ve said or done probably hurt. The nigga told me what was on his mind and I respect that. We handled it like men."
He also added, "He’s going to be on my upcoming album. When we first got cool again, he said, 'What have you been working on?' I said, 'This song that I just got. You would sound good on it.' The song is produced by this guy from France, Spiff TV actually brought me the beat. He recorded it from his iPhone, Ross’ producer mixed it down, and it sounds like a real song. He’s actually redoing the hook. It’s kind of a Camp Lo vibe. I don’t want to call it what we say throughout the song which is, 'Rolling, we rolling, we rolling.'"
Wale also explained he feels that people in the industry don't appreciate him as an artist. He even went as far as to call out Complex, saying he feels offended by how the magazine profits off the alternative lifestyle that he and other rappers live.
"Sometimes I wake up and think the world hates me," he said. "I feel like the industry might hate me. But that’s the mentality I grew up in because I’m black. I’ve been trained to believe the world hates niggas. It’s society. Like, being pulled over at church and being 14 years old? It makes you look at the police differently. There were times when I was in the front seat and they told me, 'Don’t do nothing,' and they took me out the car, and they pulled the gun out on my man and everything. I’ve seen it all. I’m not bitter to nobody man. If I was bitter I wouldn’t even talk to a lot of them. I wouldn’t be doing no interviews.
"Especially with Complex. I thought they were really trying to...I’m not going to lie, I was a little bit offended. I thought there’s a market that myself, Cudi, and a couple other artists helped. [We didn’t help it] survive, because Marc Ecko doesn’t need none of us. But I felt it was a company that we helped keep thriving. Them little kids in DC, they wouldn’t know nothing about no damn Nudies and no damn APCs and all that if it wasn’t for me. So I’m more or less the mid-Atlantic ambassador for the alternative lifestyle that Complex is promoting. We—and when I say we, I’m including myself and the niggas at Complex—are the people in the school that are like, 'What the fuck is those? What’s that?'"

Peyton Manning Intentionally fails Concussion Test

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning admitted Wednesday that he intentionally tries to underperform on the NFL's preseason baseline concussion test so he can remain off the injury report if he suffers a head injury during the season.
"They have these new (brain) tests we have to take," he said. "Before the season, you have to look at 20 pictures and turn the paper over and then try to draw those 20 pictures. And they do it with words, too. Twenty words, you flip it over, and try to write those 20 words.
"Then, after a concussion, you take the same test and if you do worse than you did on the first test, you can't play. So I just try to do badly on the first test."
The four-time league MVP made the revelation in an ESPN.com article when he was asked for his opinion about recent research into the long-term effects of concussions during a joint interview with his father, Archie, and brother, Eli.
As an aside in the ESPN.com article, Archie Manning slapped his forehead in disapproval.
Last week, former NFL safety Matt Bowen also admitted to hiding concussions, responding to a FOXSports.com piece by writing: "Every offseason I would miss questions on the concussion test. Bad move looking back."
The NFL has standardized sideline concussion examinations for all 32 teams. Dr. Richard Ellenbogen, co-chairman of the league's head, neck and spine committee, said in a conference call earlier this month that a decision to let Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Stewart Bradley back into the 2010 opener against the Green Bay Packers led to significant improvement in the detection and treatment of concussions during the rest of the season. Bradley sustained a concussion as the team was evaluating quarterback Kevin Kolb, who also suffered a concussion and whose injury paved the way for the re-emergence of Michael Vick.
"We rely on the players quite a bit on concussions," Ronnie Barnes, the New York Giants' vice president of medical services, said on the same conference call. "We are constantly assessing players and often we are told by other players: 'Watch this guy. He might have a concussion.' "
Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw recently revealed he's feeling the effects of numerous concussions that he sustained during his Hall-of-Fame career and now struggles with short-term memory loss, depression and anxiety.
"I thought it would be good for a lot of players for this to get out, for me to tell my story because I was a quarterback," he wrote in a FOXSports.com column. "I know how much my late center Mike Webster suffered. I can only imagine what a lot of defensive players from my era are going through. "I also think other players should speak up and say what they've been experiencing. It's good for the soul and your brain."

iPhone turntable concept brings dropped calls to your record collection

Any audiophile worth their weight in 180 gram vinyl will gladly tell you that nothing sounds quite as good as a record. Unfortunately, the format has a few major drawbacks, like a lack of portability and the fact that it really sucks at making phone calls. The iPhone, on the other hand, is light years ahead of those fronts -- well, one of out two ain't bad. This new concept from designer Olivier Meynard offers the best of both worlds, embedding a horizontal iPhone dock next to a wheel of steel, so you can play back your favorite LP through the built-in speakers and encode those tracks as MP3s, which are uploaded to your handset as it charges. Finally, a way to turn your long out of print prog rock albums into ringtones, as they were meant to be heard.

Nike Zoom KD III iD "Entourage"

Nike Zoom KD III iD ‘Entourage’
0diggsdigg
Nike Zoom KD III iD Entourage

The hit TV show ‘Entourage’ was the inspiration behind one special colorway of the Nike LeBron 8 V/2, combining LeBron’s signature shoe and one of his favorite television shows. The Photo Blue, Varsity Maize, and Black colorway, taken from one of the show’s original billboards/posters, is considered to be one of the best of LeBron 8 V/2s, which is why gentry187 on NT transferred that colorway perfectly, through Nike iD, onto the Nike Zoom KD III. Featuring a patent leather upper, glossy Flywire panels, and a solid Varsity Maize outsole, this Nike Zoom KD III iD ‘Entourage’ is almost a perfect copy of the LeBron 8 version despite the two shoes being structurally exclusive from each other. Continue reading for a detailed look at this sweet Nike iD creation and let us know which version – LeBron 8 or KD III – you like better.

Peyton Hillis Upsets Micheal Vick For Madden Cover | WOW |

Madden 12.jpg

The verdict is in. Peyton Hillis is on top of the Madden universe. This year’s Madden cover was the first in the game’s history to feature a playoff style vote from 13 million fans to determine the cover athlete. Peyton and Mike went through some tough competition, but in the end only one man is left standing.
In my opinion, Michael Vick may not have won the fan voting this year, but he has solidified his place in the NFL as one of the most popular athletes in the game today by making it to the finals. With that being said, congratulation to Peyton Hillis of the Cleveland Browns and good luck avoiding the Madden Curse.

Melo Says Knicks are a "50" Win Team Next Season.

Carmelo Anthony thinks the Knicks could have won 50 games this season. He also thinks they should win at least 50 games a year as long as he’s in New York.

Another goal of Anthony’s? To be the top team in the Eastern Conference.

The later may take a while, but Anthony seems to believe it can happen in the near future. Or at least at some point during the three-year contract extension he signed with the Knicks.

“We (were) 42-40 this year and I could say that we could have easily been a 50-plus win team with some of the games that we lost,” he said. “So our goal is to always be (in the) 50-plus win range.”

Anthony added: “We might get some players in here, we might not, but we still have a chance to do some things. On my radar, I want to be the top team in the East.”

The Knicks went 14-14 in the regular season after acquiring Anthony in a three-team, 13-player trade completed on Feb. 22. They were swept out of the first round of the playoffs by the Boston Celtics.

After meeting with Donnie Walsh and Mike D’Antoni on Monday, Anthony sees big things in the future for New York.

He believes Madison Square Garden will be a pre-eminent destination for future free-agents. He said some talked about joining him in New York this season.

“You just hear it (on the court),” said Anthony. “…. I mean everybody wants to play in New York right now.”

Anthony said he and Amare Stoudemire expect to have input on personnel decisions made by Walsh, D’Antoni and Garden chairman James Dolan (assuming Walsh and D’Antoni are back).

“Why not? I’m gonna be the guy they have to go out there and play with,” Anthony said. “So why not have some input in who we want?”

The All-Star power forward doesn’t believe the Knicks need to add more stars (so much for the Chris Paul toast) to become an elite team in the league.

“We have a good base for what we have – me and Amare – and we go from there,” Anthony said.

The time for the Knicks to end a 28-season title drought, Anthony says, is now.

"I’m 26 years old. Amare is (28)," he said. "We’re young man, but at the same time we want to get it done right now.”

REHAB UPDATE: Stoudemire said he will spend the next week and a half - at least - at the team training facility to get treatment on his pulled back muscle before going on vacation.

Chauncey Billups said his left knee strain will take two to three weeks to heal.

Will Billups Be Back In NY next year?

The New York Knicks decided not to buy out the contract of point guard Chauncey Billups on Wednesday, ensuring he will be with the team for his full $14.2 million salary for the 2011-12 season
The Knicks had until Friday to pick up the option or pay Billups a $3.7 million buyout.
"Chauncey, Amare [Stoudemire] and Chauncey [Billups] are a great nucleus, as we continue to look to improve our team going into the offseason," Knicks president of basketball operations Donnie Walsh said in a statement. "Chauncey is an extremely talented and experienced point guard -- we are very happy to have him back."
The 13-year veteran missed three of the Knicks' four playoff games, all losses, to the Boston Celtics after straining a knee tendon late in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference first-round series.
Billups played 21 regular-season games with the Knicks this season after coming over from the Denver Nuggets in the Carmelo Anthony trade. He averaged 17.5 points and 5.5 assists for New York.
The Knicks had no immediate word on Walsh, who also has a team option on the fourth year of his contract, which expires June 30. There have been reports the Knicks are considering offering Walsh a two-year extension, and Walsh was expected to meet with Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan this week.
Billups will be 35 in September and said this week he hoped to return to New York for his 15th NBA season. After playing most of his career at 215 pounds, Billups said Monday he planned to come in at 210 next season to better handle the pace of Mike D'Antoni's system. He insists he has plenty of basketball left.
"My body has been great," Billups said. "I'm 34, not 39. My first five years I didn't play that much anyway, unfortunately, but my body is fine."
There wouldn't be many point guard options this summer better than Billups, a former NBA Finals MVP who is a top late-game performer. He didn't take long to prove it in New York, hitting a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:01 left in a win at Miami on Feb. 27, just four days after his Knicks debut.
But the sweep by Boston was an unusually early exit for the five-time All-Star, who reached the conference finals seven straight years with Detroit and Denver from 2003 to 2009, and said he wanted to be around when the Knicks brought championship-caliber basketball back to New York.
"Getting swept in the first round, I don't do this," Billups said. "This is not fine with me, so I like to play later in the season, I want an opportunity."
Chris Sheridan covers the NBA for ESPN.com. Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

Arnold To Play The Terminator Once Again

Sylvester Stallone spent nearly a decade making straight-to-DVD dreck like "Shade" and "D-Tox" before finally acquiescing to his fans and playing, once again, his two most iconic characters, Rocky and Rambo. Arnold Schwarzenegger spent nearly a decade trying to fix the decrepit state of California, which might have even been worse than "Avenging Angelo." Now that he is returning to acting, it looks like he's gonna go the Stallone route.
Deadline reported last night that the long-awaited comeback project for Schwarzenegger will be ... "The Terminator," again. Arnold's agents are out shopping a package that involve Ah-nold teaming with "Fast Five" director Justin Lin to bring the T-800 back to the big screen. They don't have a script, they don't have a target date and they don't even have a firm grasp on who owns the Terminator franchise ... but they have Arnold willing to play the part again. That's enough.
Schwarzenegger had been eyeing several comeback roles after his years as governor, including, intriguingly, "Last Stand" for director Kim Ji-Woon. But considering how long it has been since he was a top-of-the-line movie star, and how much the industry has changed since then, he appears to have decided to return with a safer bet.
The legitimate question arises: Uh, isn't Schwarzenegger, who will be 64 this summer, a little old to be playing the Terminator? Stallone is a year older, but Rocky and Rambo are live human beings who age; the Terminator is a robot who, presumably, wouldn't be modeled after an elderly person. As IFC's Matt Singer points out, Schwarzenegger looked a little old to be playing the Terminator when he last did eight yars ago; how can he possibly be a bionic kililng machine today?
If he wanted to go the Jeff Bridges in "Tron" route, well, that seems like a lot of work just to make a lead actor look younger than he really is, and besides ... in 2009's "Terminator: Salvation," they sorta tried this. Remember, Arnold's face and body (or at least his 1985 body) showed up in that too.
