50 Cent will team up with Robert De Niro in a movie for the second time. Back in 2008, 50 Cent and Robert De Niro met onscreen in the crime drama titled Righteous Kill. This year, the two will meet in yet another cop drama: Freelancers.
50 Cent will star as a son of a slain cop who becomes a cop in his father’s footsteps. He’s taken under the wing of his father’s former partner, Captain Vic Sarcone (De Niro) and joins the captain’s Street Vice Crime Task Force.
Word is Forest Whitaker will also join the cast of Freelancers. The movie is directed by Jesse Terrero and will begin production on April 12 in New Orleans.
