Jay-Z’s Pre-Eminem Deal with Chrysler: Revealed!

Although his may be a bit behind P. Diddy’s, Jay-Z’s fortune still garners huge attention from financial publications. This time, Forbes writer Zack O’Malley Greenburg, talks with The Daily Ticker about his new book Empire State of Mind – How Jay-Z Went from Street Corner to Corner Office.
Greenburg’s book talks about Jay-Z’s $450 million business empire and reveals some unknown tidbits, such as Jay-Z’s deal with Chrysler that never took off. Which makes us wonder what the world would be like if the Jay-Z Jeep existed.
The jeep was in plans to be called The Jay-Z Jeep Commander. According to the Atlanta Post, the deal never came through due to Chrysler’s concern that Jay-Z’s drug-dealing past would affect the company’s reputation. Although the car never came to be, Jay-Z stays on Chrysler’s good side.
